Description
This critically acclaimed documentary about sexual harassment in Egypt uses women’s direct accounts of sexual harassment, in addition to body camera footage that vividly captures what it is like for a woman to walk down the street in Cairo.
The film grew out of a shorter project, called 'Creepers on the Bridge', which went viral. This short film is a montage of images from the body camera. The directors also used this short film to spark interest in their longer project, which is notable for being financed entirely through crowd funding. Whilst sexual harassment has long been a problem in Egypt, as highlighted by Mohamed Diab's 2010 feature film called 'Cairo 678', nonetheless, it became a major issue for women after 2011 and more women became willing to speak out about it.
