Youssef plays on various widely-held beliefs about Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood, including that the then president was controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood Guidance Bureau and unable to make his own decisions and that he was totally inept and without any coherent policies. Mohamed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood and their supporters were regularly ridiculed by Youssef on his show.
