Description
An account of the resource
Samira Ibrahim above an army of faces of Ahmed Adel El Mogy, the doctor against whom she brought a court case for conducting so-called virginity testing.
Samira Ibrahim was one of several protesters who was arrested by the military in March 2011 and was subject to sexual torture. She became an icon of the revolution after she very courageously took a court case against the doctor who had perpetrated the state-sanctioned violence against her. He was acquitted by a military court but a civilian court ruled to end the practice of 'virginity testing'.
