Glory to the Unidentified

This famous mural depicts Sayed Khaled, painted with angel wings, the youngest martyr of the revolution. The Arabic reads: "Glory to the unidentified".

Sayed Khaled was homeless. The mural highlights the reality of street children in Egypt, who are unknown and forgotten.

The artist, Ammar Abo Bakr, became famous as a street artist after 2011. His murals documented the revolution and he was particularly known for his murals of martyrs. He was widely considered as one of the most accomplished street artists in Egypt, who created some of the most iconic pieces of the revolution.
