Mural celebrating the 25 January 2011 revolution
This mural, located on the outside walls of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Zamalek, Cairo, was one of many painted by students to celebrate the 25 January 2011 revolution. It represents the revolution as an uprising of the people against oppression, reflecting desires for freedom and equality and for unity between Muslim and Christians. This mural and other murals were eventually painted over by the Faculty.
