Stencil of the martyr Ahmed Mansour
This stencil on the walls of Cairo University commemorates Ahmed Mansour, a student at the university, who was killed during clashes between the military and protesters during the Cabinet sit-in in December 2011.
The words below the image say: Ahmed Mansour, martyr of 16 December.
The Cabinet sit-in was a protest outside the Cabinet Building in downtown Cairo, in opposition to the appointment of a Mubarak-era politician, Kamal al-Ganzouri, as the new prime minister. The military crackdown resulted in seventeen protesters killed.
